Which Canopy Should I choose?
The canopies that we offer are all distinctive in design and function. Our most popular canopy is the Homestyle Multi Purpose Canopy which attaches to the wall with the front of the canopy supported on aluminium columns. The Weatherguard Cantilever Canopy is self supporting, the roof being held by strong GRP (fibreglass) beams which attach direct to the wall of the property. The advantage of this canopy is there are no legs to obstruct access. The Contour Curved Roof Canopy is a free standing structure which can be sited anywhere on your property. This canopy has a curved roof and softer lines.

I want to install my Weatherguard Cantilever Canopy on a bungalow, can I do this?
A Weatherguard Cantilever Canopy can be installed onto the gable end of a bungalow so long as the majority (about 70%) of the roof has a minimum of 7/8 bricks above it. If you are in any doubt then we would suggest you call the sales office for further details. We would not recommend putting a Weatherguard Cantilever Canopy on the front or rear end of a bungalow unless there are a minimum of 5/6 bricks above the wall plate.

What does projection mean?
The projection of the canopy is the distance from the wall to the end of the canopy. The Homestyle Multi Purpose Canopy is available in 5 different projections: 1.5m, 2.5m, 3.0m, 3.5m, 4.0m. The Weatherguard Cantilever Canopy is available in 3 different projections: 1.5m, 2.5m, 3.0m. The Contour Curved Roof Canopy is available in 5 projections (from one end of the curve to the other): 2.0m, 2.5m, 3.0m, 3.5m, 4.0m. Remember we can produce a canopy to suit most size requirements so if you do not see the kit you need please contact us and provide us with your exact requirements.

How does the Weatherguard Cantilever Canopy work?
The Weatherguard Cantilever Canopy has been designed to attach directly to the wall and support itself without the need for any support for the front of the canopy. The roof rests on structural GRP (Glass Fibre) beams which attach directly to the wall and support the weight of the roof. Once the GRP beams have been attached to the wall the roof is fitted by interlocking aluminium panels glazed with polycarbonate sheeting. The finished result is a low maintenance sturdy product that will give many years of use.

How do the legs attach on the Homestyle Multi Purpose Canopy?
On the Homestyle Multi Purpose Canopy the roof is supported at the wall by the wall plate and the front of the canopy rests on a "goal post" arrangement with columns (legs) and eaves beams. The columns attach directly to the underside of the eaves beam by use of a "U" section. The bottom of the leg can either be attached directly to a concrete base or, if preferred, a long leg can be ordered and this can be "buried" into a concrete pad.
